Maximizing the Recruitment and Engagement of Local Industry Partners and Advisory Boards
Your local employers (big and small) want to be engaged in your CTE programs, but . . . they don’t know how. Most often the disconnect between industry and education is that we don’t speak the same language and our goals seem to be misaligned. This session will focus on understanding the practical road blocks to better industry engagement, and most importantly provide a proven methodology to engage with industry on a local level. This in-turn will drive tangible recognition and reward for you, your students, and your CTE programs – All with tools you already have today! Together, we’ll learn best practices on:

1) How to engage local industry partners (big or small) in a very easy, sustainable, and practical way to get their endorsement for your program.

2) How to positively influence school and district administrators, parents, and communities to support your programs.

3) How to better engage your students by strengthening the relationship between their learning, your programs, and industry needs.
